In what ways did Rebekah show courage?
I am struck that Rebekah answered, “I am willing to go,” without demanding every detail of what lay ahead. She did not have an emotional map of her future, but she had reasons to trust Jehovah. That teaches me that sufficient faith does not always remove every unknown; it gives me a basis for moving forward despite them.
Her hospitality also required real physical effort. Giving water to travelers and ten camels was not a symbolic gesture. When I think about imitating her, I see that courageous generosity often costs time, energy, or comfort, and that very cost reveals the kind of person I want to be.
Rebekah teaches me that courage can mean saying yes to Jehovah and moving ahead without every detail.
I learn that Rebekah showed courage by acting generously toward strangers, accepting an assignment that would completely change her life, and traveling to a distant land to marry someone she had never met. Her courage was not impulsive; it was based on recognizing Jehovah’s direction. She also had to adapt to a new home and support Isaac. She teaches me that courage can appear in calm decisions that require sustained faith.
