Jael showed courage by taking Jehovah’s side against Sisera, a dangerous and experienced enemy. She had to think quickly, act decisively, and accept serious personal risk. She was neither a prophetess nor a soldier, but she understood that she could do what was within her power to support God’s people. Her courage did not come from seeking attention; it grew from loyalty to Jehovah and willingness to act when the opportunity appeared.
