Jeremiah 33:2, 3
In Jeremiah 33:2, 3 I am struck that the Creator identifies himself by name before inviting Jeremiah to call on him. Jehovah combines greatness with accessibility: he has immense power and still listens. That combination draws me to prayer because I am not speaking to an impersonal force but to a powerful Person who wants me to approach him.
In Jeremiah 33:2, 3 I am encouraged to pray when I need understanding, not only when I want circumstances to change. I can ask Jehovah to help me see a principle, recognize a wrong motive, or understand a decision better. Sometimes the most valuable answer is not that the problem disappears but that I gain a clearer perspective on it.
In Jeremiah 33:2, 3 I learn that Jehovah invites his servants to call on him and promises to answer. Prayer is not a religious formality; it is a real line of communication with the One who formed and firmly established the earth. When I do not know how to understand a situation, I can ask for insight with confidence, knowing that Jehovah sees more than I can perceive.
