Spiritual Gems in Isaiah chapter 56

Jehovah urges us to "uphold justice and do what is righteous." What stands out to me most is the reason: "for my salvation is close at hand." This teaches me that the nearness of the end should not make us anxious but should move us to refine our conduct. Knowing that the Kingdom is near moves me to be a more upright Christian in my business dealings and in the way I treat others.

This verse highlights that Jehovah’s salvation goes hand in hand with his righteousness. It teaches me that I cannot expect God’s blessings if I do not make an effort to live by his standards. It is a gem that motivates me not to let my guard down morally, knowing that Jehovah will reveal his justice very soon.

In ancient times, eunuchs could feel like "a dry tree" because they had no offspring to carry on their name. But Jehovah promises them "something better than sons and daughters": an everlasting name in his house. This gem is precious because it teaches us that Jehovah values our individual loyalty far more than our social or family status. It comforts me to know that my place in God’s heart depends only on my faithfulness.

By saying that he will give them "a monument and a name" within his walls, Jehovah guarantees that no one is insignificant to him. This encourages me to value all my brothers and sisters in the congregation, regardless of their personal circumstances or physical limitations, remembering that to Jehovah each one of them is a precious treasure.

Jehovah promises to bring the "foreigners" to his holy mountain and fill them with joy. This is being fulfilled today in our international brotherhood, where people from all nations serve together. It teaches me that true worship knows no borders. Taking part in the meetings and seeing this diversity fills me with the joy Jehovah promised in his "house of prayer."

The text says that these foreigners join themselves to Jehovah "to love the name of Jehovah." This makes me reflect on my motivation for serving God. I do not do it only out of duty, but out of love for his name and for his personality. This gem motivates me to sanctify Jehovah’s name with my words and actions every day.

Jehovah says that his house will be called "a house of prayer for all the peoples." This highlights the importance of prayer in our life and in the congregation. It motivates me to be more inclusive in my prayers, asking not only for my own needs but also for all the brothers and sisters around the world who are part of this united people.

Jehovah states that, in addition to those already gathered, "I will gather others to him besides those already gathered." This is an exciting gem about the growth of the organization. It motivates me to be more diligent in the ministry, because I know that Jehovah is still searching for sincere people to bring into his people. It is a privilege to work along with him in this great gathering work.

Jehovah describes the unfaithful watchmen as "mute dogs" that cannot bark and that seek only their own "dishonest profit." This is a very serious warning for us. As Christians, we must be like alert watchmen who warn others of danger. This gem motivates me not to remain silent and to keep sharing the Bible’s warnings courageously in my territory.

The text mentions that these unfaithful shepherds "understand nothing" because they are concerned only with their own interest. It teaches me the importance of humility and a self-sacrificing spirit. In the congregation, all of us should seek the good of others and not personal advantage, imitating our Great Shepherd, Jehovah, who always cares for his sheep with love and wisdom.

The attitude of "tomorrow will be like today, only much better" reflects the thinking of those who live only for pleasure and forget the urgency of the times. This gem puts me on guard against materialism and self-complacency. Instead of focusing on enjoying this world, I want to focus on spiritual things, which are the only things that have a real future.
