Reflection for today
Some pain is easy to explain; other pain is so personal that we hardly know how to put it into words. Psalm 56:8 reassures me that Jehovah does not need a perfect explanation before he understands. He notices the tears that come after a difficult conversation, the disappointment we carry quietly, and the nights when our thoughts refuse to settle. What may look small to someone else is never automatically small to him.
That changes the way I pray. Instead of giving Jehovah only a report of what happened, I can tell him how the situation affected me. I can admit that I feel hurt, confused, embarrassed, or exhausted. Honest prayer is not a sign that faith is weak; it is one way of placing the weight where it belongs.
A practical step could be to end a hard day by writing down one concern and one reason I still trust Jehovah. That simple habit can prevent sadness from turning into the belief that I have been forgotten. Jehovah may not remove every painful circumstance immediately, but knowing that my tears matter to him gives me room to breathe, recover, and keep moving forward with confidence that I am seen and cared for.
