Duration: (15 min.)

How do our donations bring praise to Jehovah?

Main answer

Our donations bring praise to Jehovah because they support work that bears his name and advances the ministry, meetings, relief efforts, and other theocratic projects. The value is not in how much one person gives but in willingly supporting something that directs attention to Jehovah. When resources are used for pure worship, the results can help many people learn about his name and see evidence of his care.

Additional comment 1

First Chronicles 29 shows that Israelites who were not directly building the temple could still share through contributions. Jehovah values different ways of supporting his work and does not measure everyone by the same amount.

Quick comment

A voluntary gift glorifies Jehovah when it supports work that makes his name and care better known.

How have you benefited from the organizational updates on jw.org and the letters of appreciation that you receive?

Main answer

Those reports help me see that a donation does not disappear into something abstract. I can learn about construction, disaster relief, and other activity that benefits brothers and sisters in many places. Letters of appreciation also show that contributions are valued. Seeing concrete results increases my gratitude and helps me feel connected to a worldwide work even if I never visit the locations where resources are used.

Additional comment 1

First Chronicles 29:14-16 emphasizes that what we give ultimately comes from Jehovah. Reports can build the same humility: instead of thinking, “Look what we accomplished,” we appreciate that Jehovah lets us have a share.

Quick comment

Reports make the results of giving visible and deepen my gratitude for the privilege of having a share.

What specific organizational initiatives are you especially thankful for?

Main answer

I am especially thankful for projects that help brothers and sisters during critical times, such as disaster relief, and for those that support worship, including meeting places and digital tools. I also value the production of Bible material in many languages. Different initiatives may touch each person differently. Thinking about specific examples keeps giving from becoming routine and turns it into a deliberate expression of gratitude and support.

Additional comment 1

Psalm 96:8 connects giving glory to Jehovah’s name with bringing a gift. Even a small amount can have spiritual meaning when it comes from gratitude and a desire to support his worship, and a willing heart matters more than size.

Quick comment

Thinking about specific projects makes my giving more deliberate; I know what kind of work I am glad to support.
