"He becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him" (Heb. 11:6)

Reflection for today

Hebrews 11:6 helps me think about faith as something active. Earnestly seeking Jehovah is more than believing that he exists; it means arranging my life in a way that shows I expect his guidance to matter. That may involve choosing a Bible principle over convenience, keeping a spiritual routine when I feel tired, or continuing to do good when there is no immediate recognition.

The promise that Jehovah rewards those who seek him also protects me from discouragement. Some of the most important spiritual gains are gradual. A better conscience, stronger endurance, clearer priorities, or a deeper friendship with Jehovah may develop quietly over time. If I measure everything by quick results, I could overlook the ways he is already helping me.

A useful question for the day is: “What would earnestly seeking Jehovah look like in one decision I have to make?” Perhaps it means praying before reacting, checking a Bible principle before deciding, or giving time to worship instead of whatever is easiest. That turns faith into something concrete.

Jehovah’s reward is not a wage we force him to pay. It is the generous response of a God who notices loyalty. Knowing that gives me a reason to keep going, especially on days when faithful effort feels ordinary and unseen.
